Fantasies and Colemen

Is there a direct correlation between this blog's traffic and CCFC results? Impossible to prove, therefore I am not to blame when the wheels (inevitably?) come off tomorrow, and our short-lived fantasy of staying in touch with 6th place come the beginning of May falls around our ankles.

Fellow Fantasy Football League followers (G-G-G-Granville!) from the 90s may recall a brief segment on Baddiel & Skinner's superb show where they re-ran footage of Chris's father David Coleman (resplendent with mac*) extolling the virtues of Peterborough. Hopefully the Author & I shall return on the Champers Express to London with similarly happy memories of the place.

Ten Burners' potential return is looking more likely having shut out Dele whilst finding the time to score the winner for the stiffs in the week, with Dick Wood and Talent Boner both unavailable (thankfully, in the latter case).

The meeting between the 2 sides at Fortress Ricoh was arguably a turning point in our season as Wheels bagged a hat-trick in a 3-2 win over Prince Ferguson's former charges, with junior Coleman having had an apparent epiphany and deciding for some reason to play him as a central striker as opposed to a winger.

In the meantime their nutcase chairman has entertained us with this, which is well worth a read if you haven't already:
