Making only his second start for Middle-England-Earth since his escape in January, the SuperHobbit returned to the Ricoh in a Blackpool-lookalike orange kit.
Pre-match, the atmosphere was quiet. Very quiet. Season ticket holders only by the looks of the stadium. Would it be a 5 goal thriller? Would Eastwood have found his scoring boots? Would the Gunnar's new WAG be pictured in a clinch with him in the centre circle just before the game, and appear on Facebook within moments? Time would tell.
The game kicked off on time. And that was about it, until the whistle blew for half time. Only point to note was the really fat linesman, who looked like he'd brought his kit on the off-chance of getting a game.
Second half kicked off, the ref lost the plot and booked 5 players in 9 minutes, including ddddddddddannnny fox for a cracking clean tackle. And that was about it until the ref blew for full time.
No goals, no shots on target, nothing really happened here today.
Palace away will be better I'm sure.
